Here you can find reports and research articles that have been produced by or in cooperation with Unipower.

The purpose of this project is to evaluate a new technology for measurements on the capacitive tap where harmonics, relative and absolute, unbalance and transients can be measured correctly. – Authors: Jonny Carlsson, Unipower AB; David Holmberg, Vattenfall AB; Jan Östlund, ABB AB

The trend of Harmonic measurements today is towards continuous monitoring with permanently installed meters. Long term monitoring of harmonics also provides effective means for planning. – Authors: Johan Adolfsson, Unipower AB; Peter S. Abstract - CIRED 2007, 19th International Conference on Electricity Distribution

This abstract outlines a novel method for classifying the underlying causes of voltage disturbances using soft-margin Support Vector Machines (SVMs), a method that has significant advantages over conventional methods, such as artificial neural networks.

The experimental results show a high accuracy in classification (>98%).

The abstract was selected for presentation at CIRED 2007 in Vienna, May 21-24, 2007.

Conference paper- CIRED, 18th International Conference on Electricity Distribution, Turin , 6-9 June 2005

Paper describing a measurement method for determining the direction of flicker propagation and identifying flicker sources in the network. The paper was presented at CIRED as a part of a collaboration project between Unipower AB and Math Bollen, STRI.

Conference paper - 4th International Workshop on Large-Scale Integration of Wind Power and Transmission Networks for Offshore Wind Farms - Billund, Denmark, October 2003

The paper provides a brief description of measuring methods and results concerning the tracing of a flicker source.

Measurement Methods for Calculating of the Direction to a Flicker Source - Chalmers University of Technology, March 2003 (abstract)

This licentiate thesis is part of a bigger industrial doctorate project conducted by Unipower together with the Chalmers University of Technology and the University College of Borås.

Conference paper - CIRED Regional Symposium & Exhibition on Electricity Distribution 2002 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 2002

The paper discusses measuring standards within the power quality field, with focus on IEC 61000-4-30.
